We are nested in the foothills of the Tongariro Park, our region is the mecca for biking, hiking and skiing. This is our home here at Plateau Lodge and we are experts on what you can do at anytime of the year. We can even talk about the weather... our forever changing conditions!
One Day & One Night Teaser
Hiking
From 15mins to six hours walking your starting point to research what suits best is the Department of Conservation site: Walks in our National Park.
Favorite Short walks - Taranaki Falls or Ridge Walk - both 1.5 hour hikes which are suitable for arrival day or day of departure.
Biking
Our favorites - views to die for! Check out the Marton Sash & Door or Fishers Track, both a two hour ride leaving from Plateau Lodge - grade 3 which will suit all age groups- Cycling for all abilities.

- Old Coach Road or The Bridge to Nowhere Cycling trails.
